Position Number: 00035706
Notes:
Since the VPGS position is a 12-month administrative position, UM System rules require an individual holding the position of Curator's Professor to relinquish the Curator's title and stipend upon accepting the VPGS appointment. However, prior to accepting such appointment, the individual may request that the Curator's Professor title and stipend be restored, should they cease being a 12-month administrator at some time in the future.
Since the VPGS would not be able to continue research at a high level, an individual holding a named chair faculty position would be required to relinquish the title and financial benefits associated with that position upon accepting the VPGS appointment.
